ZHENG Bo has been making and writing about socially engaged art since 2003. He has worked with a wide range of communities and institutions, including the Queer Cultural Centre in Beijing, and the Filipino domestic helpers in Hong Kong. His essays on Chinese socially engaged art and the pursuit of publicness have been published in multiple journals and books. He received a MFA from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a PhD in Visual and Cultural Studies from the University of Rochester. He taught at China Academy of Art in Hangzhou from 2010-2013 and joined the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong, this year.
